TrackMySoftware is designed for developers who want to create multiple trial versions for different applications and handle the licenses in a simple and intuitive manner. In other words, it brings to the table a reliable licensing system that enables software authors to conveniently manage all the registration information of their software buyers and users/
TrackMySoftware enables developers to run their own server or hosting solution, powered by either PHP or MySQL. The IonCube PHP loader is also required, but this component is usually already present on most hosting services. For the application to be able to communicate to the licensing server, it requires function calling capabilities (COM dll /.so / .dylib). Alternatively, developers can use TrackMySoftware as a standard REST API.
The registration information is stored inside a database on the server, which is completely secure thanks to the robust public-key encryption. Its security features are designed to ensure developers that no fake licenses can be generated for their application.
The licensing system correlates the license to the device ID (HDD or CPU serials, the MAC address, etc.), associating a specific machine to a license. This way, the application can be automatically blocked if the trial period is over or the license is invalid.
