JN Soundboard is a free, open-source soundboard application for Windows, designed primarily for use with virtual audio cable (VAC) setups to play sound effects or voice lines over apps like Discord, Skype, or in-game voice chats.

Steps:

1. Go to the Releases page.
2. Download the latest version:
   • Usually a .zip file (e.g., JNSoundboard_vX.X.X.zip)
3. Extract the ZIP anywhere on your PC.
4. Run JN Soundboard.jar (you need Java installed).

🎛️ How to Use JN Soundboard

✅ 1. Launch the app

• Run JN Soundboard.jar (double-click or run from terminal)
• It opens a GUI window with options for hotkeys, playback, and input/output devices

✅ 2. Load Your Sounds

• Click “Add” or “Browse” to add audio files (.mp3, .wav, etc.)
• Assign each sound a hotkey (e.g., Ctrl + Alt + 1)
• Optionally name them for easy reference

✅ 3. Set Up Audio Routing (VAC)

You’ll need Virtual Audio Cable or VB-Cable to route audio to your chat app.

Basic VAC Setup:

1. Install VAC or VB-Cable
   • VB-Cable (free)
   • VAC (paid)
2. In JN Soundboard:
   • Set Playback Device to CABLE Input or your VAC device
3. In your chat app (Discord, Skype, etc.):
   • Set Input Device (Microphone) to CABLE Output

This routes the soundboard audio into your mic input.

✅ 4. Mix Mic and Soundboard (Optional)

• Enable “Listen to Microphone” inside JN Soundboard
• Your voice and soundboard audio will both be sent over the virtual cable
