Social Network Visualizer, also known simply as SocNetV, is a software utility that enables you to analyze such social constructs, but also create your own from scratch and study them using the available tools. Thus, you can either import the data from an outside source, or you can generate new networks, using the application’s capabilities.
At its core, the utility is able to compute almost every network property you might be interested in, including path lengths, clustering coefficients and graph diameters. Moreover, you can also make use of the multitude of layout algorithms provided, as well as the random networks that can be quickly generated at the press of a button.
Import networks from external sources
In case you are working on a specific process and you need to use real-world data, the application allows you to load networks in various other formats, from GraphML, Adjaceny or Pajek. In addition, these can all be modified and adjusted directly into Social Network Visualizer, as well as integrated into your graphs.
The included web crawler available in the package can also be used to create networks, by using the links found on the website of your choosing.
