Sib Image Viewer Description

Sib Image Viewer enables you to open and convert image files in various formats, create slideshows, and perform file operations, among other options.

It’s geared toward all types of users and offers support for BMP, ICO, GIF, PNG, PCX, JPEG, PSD and TIFF filetypes.

Installation and interface

The setup procedure is quick and the only notable aspect about it is that you can set file associations. As far as the interface is concerned, Sib Image Viewer adopts a large window with an intuitive structure and built-in file explorer for locating files, viewing thumbnails, and opening photos in fullscreen mode.

View, edit and manage photos

It’s possible to launch the default image editor, zoom in and out, resize, rotate or flip one picture at a time, create icons from multiple photos or merge them into one icon, as well as copy, delete, duplicate, move or rename files.

Furthermore, you can view image properties, such as filename, format, picture size, number of frames, file size, color, memory size and time stamp, as well as set the description, author, timestamp, keywords, and notes. Slideshows can be easily created from selected pictures in sequential or reversed mode.

Convert images and customize settings

Multiple selected files can be converted in bulk to BMP, JPG, PNG, TIF, TGA or XPM. Plus, you can pick the background color and preferred color depth between monochrome (1 bit), 16 colors (4 bits), 256 colors (8 bits), high color (15 or 16 bits), true color (32 bits), or the same as the source file.

When it comes to program options, you can adjust the thumbnail size, slideshow delay, fullscreen background color and on-screen captions (e.g. file size, description), choose the icon size, or use Inkscape to render SVG images. Settings can be restored to default. Keyboard shortcuts are supported.

Conclusion

To sum it up, Sib Image Viewer comes bundled with a surprisingly rich set of options for a photo viewer, and it should meet the requirements of many users. CPU and RAM usage was low in our tests.
