Registry Sheriff Description

Registry Sheriff is a reliable software that enables you to identify a series of keywords within the system Registry. The software is a powerful searching engine that allows you to browse the Registry based on two methods: the basic search and the advanced mode. You may also apply several searching filters.

Simple to use registry finder

With Registry Sheriff, all you need to do is insert the keywords into the dedicated field, then let the software identify any trace of them within the system Registry. The application allows you to conduct fresh searches each time you open it, or load the results of a previous process. Once the results are displayed, you can save them in the software’s log, which allows you to load them later.

You may adjust the number of results displayed per page, as well as the maximum number of entries to be found. The advanced search allows you to select which folders of the Registry you wish to browse,by checking the respective boxes. Additionally, you may configure up to three filters, regarding the key names, value names or value data. Moreover, you can enable/disable the case-sensitive data search.

The results and the Registry management

Registry Sheriff can display the results of the search in a list, with a short description of the key, value and data type. You may double click on either of the entries in order to view more details, or simply click the ‘Detail’ button at the top of the window. The details page can offer information regarding the file path, flags, the time of the last update, link, metadata and package family name.

Registry browser, not modifier

The software does not allow you to perform modifications inside the Registry, but it enables you to launch the Registry Editor. This Windows application allows you to make changes within the Registry. However, the software does offer you the required information, so you can correctly identify the Registry entry you are looking for.
