RAMMap Description

RAMMap is a software tool which can be used to gain an understanding of how Windows manages memory usage and save all the information provided to the hard drive, for further analysis.

Portable app

Surprisingly enough, this utility is portable and therefore, you can easily bypass the installation process. As a result, the Windows registry is not going to be suffer any changes, and after its removal, there will be no traces of it.

It is also important to mention that if you copy the program files to an external data device, such as a pen drive, you can easily run RAMMap on any computer you have access to.

Straightforward UI

The interface sports a clear-cut design and it is built with several tabs, so that access to all options can be quick. Consequently, it can be used by anybody, including people with little to no previous experience with the IT world.

View and analyze processes

This software application presents a color-coded system which enables you to easily understand which processes are active, on standby, modified or bad, as well as view the item type.

In separate tabs, it is possible to view a list of all processes launched and the total amount of memory used (expressed in kilobytes), priority summary, physical pages and ranges, as well as file summary and details, such as path, size, physical address, file type, priority and image. All this data can be saved to the HDD, for analysis at a later day, in a RMP format.

Bottom line

In conclusion, RAMMap is a handy piece of software, with a good response time, user-friendly interface and plenty of data to analyze. CPU and memory usage was low at all times and our tests did not reveal any type of errors or crashes.
