Print2CAD Description
Print2CAD is a program that comes packed with complex functions to help you convert PDF, HPGL, AutoCAD files (DWF, DWG, DXF) and images (e.g. TIFF, JPEG) to DWG, DXF, JPEG and PDF.
The interface of the tool is clean and intuitive. Items can be imported into the file queue by using only the file browser, since the “drag and drop” method is not supported. It is possible to handle multiple entries at the same time.
The file list provides specific information on each item, namely the name, source format, size and location. If you are satisfied with the default settings, then you can immediately proceed with the conversion procedure by specifying the output format and directory.
Print2CAD lets you customize preferences for raster-to-vector conversion. Thus, you can fully vectorize raster images, convert raster images as a horizontal group of lines or “solid” entities, extract raster pictures and place them as references in drawings, as well as fiddle with expert options (e.g. pixel limit for contourization, gap jump, angle sensitivity).
Furthermore, you can sort entities onto separate layers according to the entity color, generate circles and arcs, delete all hatches, specify the page range and scale factor for X, Y, Z coordinates, create text as separate strings and set Print2CAD to automatically optimize text heights. The input and output files can be viewed. Plus, you can enable OCR mode and configure settings related to OCR text and line type recognition, along with coordinate calibration.
The program requires a moderate amount of system resources, supports two languages and includes a help file. No errors have occurred during our tests and Print2CAD did not freeze or crash.
