PrecisePlayer Description

Quick playback of video files doesn’t necessarily need to be done in complex applications, depending, of course, on the situation. For instance, applications like PrecisePlayer provide a simple preview method for videos of different formats to watch an episode or two of your favorite show, or movie.

Can be used on the go

Probably the biggest advantage is portability, skipping you the effort of going through a setup process, and providing the flexibility needed to carry it on a thumb drive to use on other computers as well. you only need to make sure that .NET Framework is on the PC you want to use it on, because it’s a mandatory requirement for functionality.

A compact window shows up on launch, and accommodation is among the last things you need to worry about. Playback controls are all found in the upper toolbar, under intuitive icons, while the status bar shows playback status, total, and current time. Unfortunately, there’s no progress slider to jump through content, not even a volume slider for basic control.

Straightforward, with a poor set of features

File support is decent, and allows you to play some popular formats. Even though you can’t just drop a video over the main window, using the browse dialog is not that difficult. You can select videos under formats like MPG, AVI, WMA, MOV, WAV, MP2, and MP3.

Playback needs to be limited to a single clip, because there’s no built-in playlist manager. Furthermore, you can only play, or stop a slip from the controls found in the upper toolbar. Sadly, hotkey support is not included in the set of features.

However, the biggest disappointment comes from the lack of an option to switch to a fullscreen mode. This doesn’t happen under any circumstance, not even through the Alt + Enter key combination.

A few last words

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that PrecisePlayer is a straightforward video players, with little capabilities and chances to appeal to the majority of the public. You can’t skip through content because of the lack of a progress slider, while viewing space is limited since you can’t enter fullscreen.
