PGToTxt Description
PGToTxt is a lightweight piece of software that enables you to extract the data contained in a PostgreSQL database to a file format that allows you to examine it via other software solutions and devices. In other words, you can retrieve the data to CSV, SQL, XML, HTML or Excel.
It is important to note that the application requires you to have the PostgreSQL installed on your computer, as you cannot access the application prior to entering your credentials. Once you login, you can proceed to manipulate the database and exporting single or multiple tables, depending on the specifications and requirement of your project.
Since manipulating data from large databases can be time-consuming, then there is a chance that you do not manage to retrieve all the desired information in one go. In the eventuality that you find yourself in this kind of situation, then you can use the Save Session option to store your progress. The next time you need to extract and convert data from the PostgreSQL database, you can just use the Load session function to access it.
Last, but not least important, PGToTxt enables users to schedule data extraction and conversion tasks, a process that is fairly intuitive especially since you all you need to do is follow the instructions provided by the wizard setup.
