Notes organizer with a simple GUI

The tool contains an installer and portable version, so you can choose the one you prefer, while keeping in mind that the portable edition keeps all configuration settings in a single place.

The program is wrapped in a plain-looking interface with a well-structured layout, where you can create as many items and subitems as you want for organizing notes into different categories.

Create and manage notes

New notes can be created by specifying the title, authors, URL, tags, and message. There are multiple text formatting options put at your disposal, such as tables, paragraph alignment, and line numbering.

When creating numerous notes, it’s possible to resort to a search function to locate a particular piece of information across the entire database, and you can narrow down the scan scope by excluding the titles, authors, URLs, tags, or text.

MyTetra gives you the possibility to edit notes, print information or saved it as PDF documents, change the UI language, modify the default data and trash directory, set a password to protect the application when sharing the computer with other users, enable data synchronization at app startup, disble notification messages, and so on.

Evaluation and conclusion

It worked well in our testing. System resources consumption was minimal. We haven’t experienced any stability issues, as it didn’t freeze, crash or prompt error dialogs. On the other hand, the interface could use some updates in the graphical department.

Nevertheless, MyTetra is equipped with many practical options for creating and managing notes, and it can be used by anyone for free.
