Hikvision MFPlugins Description
Hikvision MFPlugins (Media Foundation) is a COM component that was designed to help advanced computer users extract, decode or analyze digital video or audio signals from their Hikvision devices.
Deploying the utility on a target computer can be done in a simple manner, via its standard installer that requires inputting a valid destination path and following the on-screen instructions.
Users can choose to set the plugins without relying on the standard installer, by gathering all the required components and registering them manually. All the AX files need to be registered and it is possible that the process might fail if certain relative files are missing.
With these plugins, users are able to play Hikvision-specific media files and streams on their machines by implementing the required capabilities into standard applications, such as Windows Media Player.
Among the supported formats for playback, users can find PS and Hik private. Aside from playback capabilities, users can also decode H.264, MJPEG, MPEG4 videos, as well as AAC, g711_A, g711_u, MP2L2 or g726 audio files.
