Good Posture Description
Good Posture is a reliable tool that allows you to maintain your health even when spending long hours at the desk, in front of the computer. Many people whose job requires intense work on the computer do not realize that even with a comfortable chair, a bad posture can permanently affect their health.
Webcam posture monitor
Good Posture is simple to use and can help you improve the way you sit in front of the computer, in order to correct your posture. The application works with the help of a webcam, being capable of monitoring your height. When placed on top of the screen, the webcam can continuously capture and check your posture.
The program features a comprehensive tooltip, which indicates the recommended position for sitting in front of the computer for long hours. The camera can identify the parameters in your posture and mark it accordingly. You may calibrate the measuring system each time, based on the user.
Set your own computer posture
The correct position of sitting at a desk implies keeping your back and neck straight, with a comfortable angle for the gaze. The recommendation is designed to avoid back pain, neck or head aches. Simply set the correct posture, then let the software alert you if you should move.
When Good Posture starts, you may click on ‘Fix the position’ button, in order to determine the correct posture, based on your height. The measuring line should be set above the chin, lower than the nose tip.
Correct posture alert
Good Posture can continuously monitor the way you sit at the computer, while it is running. The measuring line remains green as long as you adopt a correct posture and turns red if you slouch or lower your head. Moreover, the program prompts a beep whenever the posture changes, notifying you even while you work.
