Free Internetcam Description
Free Internetcam is a very simple software developed to help users create a webcam server on their computer.
There’s nothing that could get you trouble because the app relies on a very user-friendly approach, with just a few options and a plain and simple interface.
The main window for example was designed to serve a double purpose, so not only that it shows server information, but it also provides access to the other menus of the app.
You can thus see status, the number of connected users, port and IP straight from the main window, but in case you look for settings, there’s a dedicated screen just for that.
Still, you’re not assaulted by configuration options, so only a few settings are actually available in order to start the app with Windows, enable the server on startup and run it minimized to Tray.
You’re also allowed to set up the user name and password that users need to provide whenever they attempt to connect to your webcam via their browsers.
Free Internetcam doesn’t hamper system performance in any way and while it provides a preview utility too, it misses more advanced options.
All things considered, this is one of the apps that are mostly aimed at rookies, comprising just the basic tools that require only minimum computer knowledge. There’s no help manual available, but that shouldn’t bother you too much thanks to the user-friendly approach we were talking about.
