Flatbook Description

Flatbook is a popular and arguably useful Chrome extension that enhances Facebook’s functionality. Weighted according to importance, it allows you to see who unfriended you and a list of profile visitors, it changes a few visual layout elements in order to increases readability, and it also brings a set of useful news feeds directly on Facebook.

Once installed, it makes its presence known by smoothly integrating with Facebook’s platform, as we’re sure you’ll notice the new entry on the upper left corner, right under your profile. Since all its functionality can be accessed directly from Facebook, the extension’s icon is rendered somewhat useless, so you might as well hide it in Chrome’s menu.

Stay up to date with the latest viral news, see your profile visitors, as well as view who unfriended you

The extension does not require any type of configuration, and it should be able to fully function straight out of the box. Click its icon and you are greeted by a pop-up UI. There are three, self-explanatory sections, namely Feeds, Unfriended, and Profile visitors.

As you can imagine, the last sections are the most straightforward while the Feeds section is a lot more comprehensive with a lot of categories, as follows: News/Media, Entertainment, Funny, Sport, Science, Movies, Technology, Games, Music, and Celebrities.

A bit of dispute regarding the extension’s new looks

Oddly, controversy seems to be surrounding this extension following some of the latest updates. Long story short, the development team changed various aspects, including the layout which is arguably inferior to the one it replaces. Nonetheless, as tested, Flatbook is still a useful extension.

The feeds may not be the reason you might want this extension, since, surely everyone prefers a more personalized approach towards staying up to date with the latest news, but all layout-related aspects aside, you are still provided with an efficient way to view who visited your Facebook profile or who unfriended you.
