🛠️ How to Use DVDFab Blu-ray Ripper
✅ 1. Install and Open DVDFab
- Get it from: https://www.dvdfab.cn/blu-ray-ripper.htm
- Launch the software and go to the “Ripper” tab.
📥 2. Load the Blu-ray Source
- Insert a Blu-ray disc
OR - Load a Blu-ray ISO file or folder using the “+” button
DVDFab will automatically detect the main movie title.
🎞️ 3. Choose Output Profile
Click on the “Profile Selector” (next to the title):
- Select video format (e.g., MP4, MKV, AVI)
- Or select a device preset (e.g., iPhone 15, PS5, Smart TV)
- Passthrough formats are available for fast ripping without re-encoding
✂️ 4. Customize Output (Optional)
Click the edit icon next to the title to:
- Trim start/end time
- Crop the video (remove black bars)
- Add or embed subtitles
- Choose or remove audio tracks
⚙️ 5. Adjust Video Settings (Advanced)
Click the wrench icon for:
- Resolution (1080p, 720p, 480p, etc.)
- Video codec (H.264, H.265, Passthrough)
- Bitrate, frame rate, encoding method
- Audio format and channels
📁 6. Set Output Folder
Choose where to save the output file (bottom of the window).

- Click Start
- Monitor progress; GPU acceleration can be enabled in Settings > A/V Codec

🧠 Tips for Best Use
- For best compatibility across devices, use MP4 (H.264 + AAC).
- For highest quality, use MKV Passthrough (no re-encoding).
- For smaller file sizes, use H.265/HEVC (requires more time but saves space).
- Use the “Advanced Settings” and “Video Edit” tools for fine control.
- Works well alongside DVDFab Passkey for decrypting protected discs.
