Crave Invoice FREE is a compact application that allows you to manage the activity of a medium-sized retail company. The program provides you with the basic features for keeping track of your customer transactions in one interface.
As the name clearly suggests, the main goal of the program is to create the invoices required for the daily activity of a business. In order to do that, it collects information about the customers, inventory items and payment terms into a local database.
When you start the program you need to enter the contact information and tax details for your own company. These are required for the printed templates and can be modified later from the Company Setup window.
Although you are prompted to create your first invoice immediately, it is recommended to start by entering the most common product information and the customer billing details. Thus, you can easily select the items from the database instead of entering all the information manually for each invoice.
Likewise, you should take the time to add the most frequently used transport methods, payment options and measurement units. Even if the program includes samples for certain items, the lists must be adapted to your business type.
The application enables you to create both invoices and quotes for your customers by selecting the product, tax and delivery method from the database. The document templates can be customized with your own layout and business artwork before printing or sending the invoice by email.
Crave Invoice includes several reports that can be generated with just a few clicks and exported to PDF, Excel or HTML files. Although the Free edition includes far less features than the paid versions, it covers the basic needs of most medium sized businesses.
