ChromeCacheView Description

ChromeCacheView is capable of reading and parsing all the links stored in the cache folder of Google Chrome. It is a useful tool for managing your web browser’s cache, enabling you to extract the URLs of previously watched online videos, viewed images or accessed webpages.

The application comes in handy for saving the files for offline accessing. This operation can be easily done by selecting the desired links and saving them locally to your computer for later reference. Also, you can reopen a download URL into the default browser.

Another use of such an application is the possibility to open previously accessed media content directly from the cache directory, without having to find the URL in the browser history or perform online searches. Therefore, you have the option to open a file, provided an associated player is available for that particular file type.

ChromeCacheView focuses on functionality, rather than looks and therefore its interface adopts a standard, yet clean look. The information is automatically extracted from the cache directory of Chrome and neatly displayed in an organized table.

An abundance of information is available, starting with the filename and the corresponding URL. the content type and ending with the file size, the access time, the server name, time and response, encoding state and the cache control. However, the records can be easily sorted by clicking on the table headers and columns that are not needed can be removed.

With just a few clicks, you can generate a detailed HTML report for all or just some of the items in the list or simply copy them to the clipboard.
