WinSleep Monitor Description

WinSleep Monitor can work together with WinSleep, allowing users to set up remote connections to all their network PCs and keep an eye on the WinSleep statistics from afar. In other words, it is a remote viewer for WinSleep that receives data from computers using WinSleep, allowing the user to check the PC’s sleep and awake sessions, and all the other pieces of information WinSleep gathers.

Remote monitoring application that requires prior access authorization

The purpose of WinSleep is to help its users create efficient and energy-friendly sleep and wake schedules, lowering the power when the machine is not in use. WinSleep records the time periods when the PC is aware, hibernating, sleeping, or not running, and enables users to keep the machine awake forcefully.

All the data WinSleep collects can be viewed remotely using WinSleep Monitor, provided the access to the client app is authorized. To put it another way, to use WinSleep Monitor, you must first go to the ‘Preferences’ window of the client application on the remote PC and enter the name and the IP address of the PC that hosts WinSleep Monitor.

Monitors the PC usage, the sleep journal and the sleep schedules

WinSleep Monitor displays a list of all the client applications it is connected to within its main window, along with the corresponding IP address, the port, as well as the polling time interval, and the amount of sent and received data.

The timeline graph you see in the main window of WinSleep is also available in WinSleep Monitor. As such, users can keep a close eye on the computer usage. Moreover, WinSleep Monitor enables them to explore the sleep journal (which shows the time the PC entered sleep mode and the reason it woke up) and check the sleep schedules.

WinSleep Monitor requests data from each client at a specific time interval, updating the timeline graphs accordingly, so users always get up-to-date information as long as the remote connection stays active.

Gets users informed about all the data WinSleep gathers

WinSleep Monitor is, in fact, the remote viewer component of WinSleep, providing information about the target computer’s sleep sessions. One should keep in mind that it is solely a data viewer, as it does not feature options to modify the sleep schedules remotely.
