As its name implies, Windows 8 Firewall Control is a reliable and straightforward application that controls the incoming and outgoing network traffic by easily analyzing all the data packets and determining whether they should be allowed or not to make further modifications to your PC.
Although many computer operating systems include software-based firewalls in order to protect you and your PC against threats lurking on the Internet, there are various apps that do infiltrate your computer and harm your system.
By using Windows 8 Firewall Control you are able to control personal information leakage and protect both local and remotely running apps.
In case a process or service attempts to perform further modifications to your computer, a notification window will be displayed enabling you to block or allow the access. Also, the left panel displays summary details about the current process such as program version and name.
The utility comes with an intuitive tabbed-interface that displays all the apps allowed to connect from / to anywhere without limitations.
The next tab entitled ‘Blocked Events’ allows you to view all the processes, services and apps that were not allowed to connect to your computer. You can view their name and blocked address with ease. It also provides you with the ability to adjust the blocking reason by adding related permitting rules promptly.
The Zones section contains a list of predefined rules that must be unique, otherwise will be overwritten.
