VSFileEncryptC Description

When you want to send a confidential document to a business partner or a colleague, it is recommended to encrypt it first, lest it falls into the wrong hands. VSFileEncryptC is a tiny, yet powerful app that can help you encrypt and decrypt files with great ease.

The utility is a command-line one, so those who are used to working with the Command Prompt function of Windows should not encounter any difficulties in managing its functions. Those with little to no experience in this department simply need to take some time to get accustomed to the syntax, as it is quite intuitive and straightforward.

Since it is a command-line app, VSFileEncryptC can be carried on an USB flash drive and run whenever need arises, regardless of the configuration of the host computer.

Basically, you only need to select the source file, specify the destination one and choose the encryption algorithm you want to use, as the tool supports several ones: AES, Blowfish, Twofish, Serpent, Camellia, Skipjack, MARS, Cast–256, IDEA, SEED and others.

You can also protect your document with a password, but if you choose not to, a blank password will be used instead.

It needs to be mentioned that in order to access the contents of an encrypted file and decrypt it, you will be required to specify both the algorithm and the password used to protect the original document.

VSFileEncryptC also enables users to automatically overwrite the target file, if the same filename already exists. In addition, if no target folder is specified, the app attempts to save the encrypted item to the source folder, adding the suffix -enc to its name (for example, Softpedia.txt will be encrypted to Softpedia.txt.enc).

All in all, VSFileEncryptC can help users save lots of time when they need to quickly encrypt or decrypt files, while those who prefer apps with a graphical user interface can try Cryptographic Encryptor, as it features the same features as VSFileEncryptC.
