Visual Dice Roller Description
Visual Dice Roller is a simple to use program that can apply the dice rolling algorithms to select a particular item from an input list. The application can come in handy in cases when you need to make random item selections, allowing you to obtain a secondary list.
Loading and selecting items
Visual Dice Roller allows you to import the list of items in its interface, with a convenient loading tool. You may thus import the data from the clipboard or extract them from a text file stored on your computer. The list can consist of names, numbers, dates, links or any other word, and the items must be separated by a new row.
Once the program loads the items in the list, it enables you to preview them in a dedicated column, as they are saved in the file. The Roll list is the actual item bank used for the selection and can be customized by adding only the desired items from the Preview column.
Customize the list of items for the selection
The Preview column allows you to manually erase any of the words, as well as type new ones, as long as you only add a single item per line. An item can consist of one or several words. The Add to Roll list function transfers all the items in the Preview column, to the processing list.
Roll and save the results
The rolling options include slow roll, fast roll, momental roll and stop on demand, which requires that you manually cease the rolling process. The selected items are copied to a third column in the program’s interface and also displayed in a result box.
You can copy the selected items to the clipboard and save the log file for each session. During the selection, Visual Dice Roller does not remove the already selected items from the input list, which can cause duplicates to occur in the results column. The program features no sorting or auto-arrange options.
