VIPRE Email Security for Exchange Description
Considering that managing Microsoft Exchange usually involves important cost factors, it does not come as a surprise that you would do all possible to keep the network safe and secure. VIPRE Email Security for Exchange is a policy-based messaging security application that enables System Administrators to enforce various security measures and hence, protect the network from viruses, phishing and spam.
The policy, in this case, refers to a group of recipients that share the same settings and configurations, so that all users are automatically assigned for a particular plug-in or service, for instance. In other words, policies have the role of helping network administrators customize antivirus, antispam, attachment filter and disclaimers for all recipients.
The utility includes nine components that you can install on your network, including the plug-in manager service, a function that enables you to create and edit the security filters at the SMTP level. A further noteworthy option is the IHS to VIPRE Email Security Converter, as it allows the migration of the anti-spam settings from the iHateSpam Server Edition.
The application comes with a comprehensive reporting tool that can provide you with detailed information regarding the threats to your network. You should know that the reports can be printed and handed out to the managers or stored so that they can be accessed at a later date.
