Modern cameras and even those built inside your mobile phone are equipped with options to enhance pictures on the spot in case your editing skills aren’t quite adequate. However, you can still use dedicated enhancement applications such as Vintage Scene in order to add finishing touches, this one making your pictures look as if taken some dozen years ago.
Visually appealing, and easy to use
The application comes with a visually appealing interface, posing no accommodation problems whatsoever. As the initial preview area suggests, you can go ahead and drop files of interest over it to get started, but you can only work with pictures under formats like JPG, PNG, and TIFF, and the same goes for output.
You can only work with one pictures at a time, but adding the same effect to more pictures is slightly more comfortable because of the possibility to save configurations, and apply them later on at the press of a button. On the other hand, there’s an impressive library of predefined effects to choose from, or edit.
Customize and save your own effects
With the picture visible in the preview area, basic controls help you rotate, or flip, crop, or zoom in on the image for close inspection. A dedicated navigator lets you pick one of three different effect styles to apply, which are found tabs for vintage scenes, antique photos, or faded time.
Besides the variety of predefined samples, you can hit the “randomize” button for a completely new one. In case it tickles your fancy, it can be save in one of the three groups under a custom name. Moreover, a dedicated set of controls makes it easy to configure image and paper age, fade out, image strength, enhancement, texture strength, and also pick paper style, and border.

The variety of presets is impressive, with a built-in option to randomize effects. Although file support is rather poor, you do get to work with popular types. You can edit existing presets, or completely shape a new style.
