Vba32 AntiRootkit Description
Vba32 AntiRootkit is a lightweight and portable software application that detects and removes rootkits from the system.
Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can drop the program files in any location on the hard disk and just click the executable to run.
There is also the possibility of saving Vba32 AntiRootkit to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any computer with minimum effort and no prior installers.
What’s more, the tool does not create new entries in the Windows registry or hard drive, leaving the disk clean after removal.
The interface is represented by a regular window with a plain and simple layout, where you can start the scanning procedure with the click of a button. The list of information includes the object type and status for each item.
In addition, you can view autorun entries, drivers and services, kernel modules, logging state, along with the quarantine, among others. As far as configuration is concerned, you can adjust the heuristic analysis level, and set the app to automatically resize columns in the list views after scanning.
Vba32 AntiRootkit carries out tasks rapidly while using low CPU and RAM, so the PC’s overall performance is not affected. We have not come across any issues throughout our evaluation, since the tool did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. Too bad that Vba32 AntiRootkit has not been updated for a long time.
