USB Redirector Description

USB Redirector is a professional software application whose purpose is to help you share and access any USB device over the Internet or Local Area Network (LAN). The tool lets you manage remote USB devices just as if they were connected to your computer.

User-friendly layout

You are welcomed by a clean and intuitive layout that reveals a list with local USB devices that are physically plugged into your system and can be shared with other users. Another list displays the remote computers where you are currently connected to or trying to connect to. Upon a successful connection you can check out the shared USB devices that are available.

Sharing capabilities

Smart buttons implemented in the main window help you enable or disable the sharing process, turn on or off the auto-sharing mode, add or remove USB servers, connect or disconnect the selected USB device, and perform a set of remote control operations (connect or disconnect the select USB to/from the remote USB client).

What’s more, you are allowed to create a callback connection to the remote USB client (by specifying the IP address and TCP port, automatically connecting all USB devices from your PC to the remote computer when they become available and allowing remote client to control this connection).

USB Redirector helps you build up an exclusion list with the USB devices that are skipped from the sharing process. Plus, you get to view detailed information about each USB device, such as name (which can be altered), vendor ID, product ID, revision, USB port, serial number, protocol and device speed.

Other handy features related to USB device properties enable you to automatically reset data on disconnection (this step helps you reinitialize the USB device and prepare it for the next client), connect to a remote device if it’s been idle for a custom number of minutes, enable the network compression level, as well as define a list of USB clients that are allowed to connect to the target device.

Configuration settings

USB Redirector gives you the possibility to set up general parameters (run the utility at Windows startup and always show icon in the system tray), accept incoming network connections from remote USB clients and on the following TCP port, and create a whitelist and blacklist with IP addresses.

Last but not least, you are allowed to show warning messages (when sharing an input device like keyboard or mouse, enabling auto-sharing mode, after changing TCP port for accepting incoming connections and if incoming connections are disabled) and set up custom rules for allowing or denying sharing and connecting USB devices.

An overall efficient USB redirector

All in all, USB Redirector delivers a powerful suite of features and an intuitive layout for helping you share and access any USB device. It suits beginners and professionals alike.
