At the first run, USB Lock RP requires you to set a mandatory access password, which you have to enter each time you want to open the application. Permanently running in the system tray, the software allows you to restrict or allow access to USB devices any time you want.
Safety at the press of a button
After entering your password, the software displays its ‘Control Panel’ window, where you can choose which USB drive you want to protect. To do this, you have to push the corresponding lock buttons for each device.
For example, after restricting access to the DVD-ROM, once your computer tries to read a new CD or DVD, USB Lock RP automatically ejects it. Obviously, this does not happen if you remove the ‘protected’ status of the device.
