Trustport Antivirus is an antivirus and anti-malware application that comes packed with a modern interface and effective solutions for removing e-threats, designed for all types of users, regardless of their skill level. It also features a real-time shield.
The interface offers quick access to the on-access scanner and application inspector. You can run a quick scan, or verify all disks, local disks, removable media, the registry, or selected targets.
During the scanning procedure, you can ask the tool to automatically power off the computer when it finishes. It is possible to specify the type of files to scan (e.g. compressed items, network drives), use heuristic analysis, scan the memory on startup, and to create an exclusion list with extensions and objects.
Results show total scanned, repaired, quarantined, renamed and deleted files, boot sectors and registry keys. The application inspector blocks untrusted programs and the ones with no digital signature, and lets you specify the severity level.
Other options of Trustport Antivirus let you manage quarantined items, schedule scans, set the archive depth level, scan email databases, detect adware and riskware, and more.
The application may take a while to finish a scan job, and it uses low CPU and RAM. We have not come across any issues throughout our evaluation; the tool did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. All in all, Trustport Antivirus supplies users with the necessary security measures for their systems.
