TouchOSC Bridge Description
TouchOSC Bridge provides TouchOSC users with a convenient method to transfer data between the iOS application and MIDI capable applications on your computer. The application is compatible with TouchOSC version 1.8 or later.
As its name implies, it creates a bridge between local applications and the mobile MIDI control platform, allowing the redirection of received MIDI messages to your PC.
Alternatively, it can also be used to transmit data in the opposite direction, from local MIDI applications to the TouchOSC app. It does so by using Bonjour (included in the installer), an Apple product that allows automatic service discovery inside a network. Thanks to it, TouchOSC Bridge can find shared MIDI data without requiring additional configuration of IP addresses and DNS servers.
Following a simple and fast installation procedure, the application is automatically sent to the system tray. It runs silently, without interfering with your work and using Bonjour to detect the presence of TouchOSC on a device connected to the same wireless network.
TouchOSC Bridge can help you exchange Open Sound Control and MIDI messages between the dedicated mobile app and a MIDI-compliant program installed on your computer, over Wi-Fi. Relying on the power of Bome’s virtual MIDI port, it constantly watches for traffic packets that contain MIDI messages.
TouchOSC Bridge has a small footprint, not requiring important system resources in order to function properly. It enables applications that use the OSC or MIDI protocols to communicate with the mobile TouchOSC app and seamlessly exchange data.
