SubPassword Description

It’s close to impossible to remember security codes and passwords for all accounts you create, and the same difficulty is encountered when trying to come up with something new. Luckily, there are tons of applications out there like SubPassword which aim to help you generate powerful, custom passwords to you with your future accounts, or to replace weak ones.

Can be used on the go

One of the application’s main characteristics is portability. As such, you’re skipped the installation process, letting you check out the set of features as soon as download is done. Moreover, it’s possible to carry it around wherever you go on a thumb drive just in case you urgently need a new security code.

The set of features shows up on launch in a minimalistic, yet intuitive interface which poses no accommodation problems whatsoever. It’s split into two sections so you can easily tell which is used to generate passwords, and which stores all entries you create.

Includes a generator and database

Unfortunately the generator doesn’t allow much freedom when setting up parameters. You only get to specify two things, and that’s the length of the password, and whether or not to use both lowercase and uppercase characters when generating. You can’t create a custom palette of characters, or include any symbols.

By default all passwords are hidden just in case there’s anyone to memorize the generated code. However, you can reveal everything at the press of a button. The new password is easily copied from the output field, and can also be added to records. This is where the lower section comes in handy, storing passwords of your choice in a drop-down menu, along with a short description of each.

In conclusion

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that SubPassword is a little shallow when it comes to configuring password parameters. However, it can be used as both a generator, and database of accounts, especially with a name required for each entry you choose to save to records.
