StrokeScribe Description
StrokeScribe is an add-on for Microsoft Office programs that allows easy integration of popular barcodes in the documents. It fits perfectly in the modules and it can be accessed from the Insert menu.
Installing the plug-in is a simple task that requires following the instructions on the screen; during our tests we did not bump into attempts of adding new software on the system.
Supports a wide variety of barcodes
As soon as the StrokeScribe object has been included in the document the user has the possibility to customize it by accessing the properties panel.
There is a rich set of options as far as the barcode type is concerned, the choices ranging from Aztec, Codabar or Code types to EAN, ISBN, Postnet or Qrcode. The text to be stored in the barcode is visible in a field above the alphabet choices and it can be anything.
Customize the oobject
Additional choices include processing the tilde mark, selecting a graphics mode or a rotation value. Moreover, the barcode image can be resized and moved in the document to the desired position.
More options available in the plug-in include the possibility to select a font size and color as well as the offset in comparison with the height of the object.
Add barcodes with no effort
StrokeScribe integrates perfectly in Microsoft Excel 2013 and offers the user complete control over the data that is included in the code as well as its size and position in the document. Moreover, it features a wide list of codes.
Working with the tool is not for the average user as proper knowledge about barcodes and their compatibility with scanners is required.
