Songsheet Generator Description
With all design and writing tools, the computer can be used to prepare, or arrange different projects, or at least resources you need to work. Music is included here, and with applications like Songsheet Generator you can print out songsheets, or export under several different format.
Intuitive design makes it easy to use
On the visual side of things, the application mostly takes you through a series of steps, in which you can load existing items, and even edit them. Songs don’t need to be MP3 files, in fact the application doesn’t even work with audio files, but rather text documents, filled in with corresponding lyrics, and key notes.
Songs you load are all displayed in a large list, with an additional panel for those you select for the whole operation. What’s more, there’s a preview section which shows content of a selected song. Editing can’t be done here, but you are allowed to configure an external editor, or use the default feature, which lets you edit songs in Notepad.
File support, and extra options
Built-in settings allow you to go through the visual style of the output file. First of all, the application lets you generate a plain text file, HTML, ChordPro, RTF, or simply printing out directly on a sheet of paper. Character encoding can be tweaked so that no compatibility issues are encountered. Additionally, you can set default source and destination folder for a faster approach on the situation.
On the other hand, the application can be used directly on the computer you install it on, without exporting songs. In other words, you can enter a fullscreen mode, with lyrics neatly shown on a black background, with key notes, and frets shows. These can be configured from the options panel, with the possibility to set display for an external display.
