Solar Time Description
Solar Time is a reliable tool that can indicate the time according to the Planetary Hour system, based on the location of the Sun in the sky, as seen from Earth. Thus, as the position of the Sun depends on the geographical location you view it from, so does the exact time of the day varies.
Astronomical parameters used for time calculation
Solar Time can estimate the real time, based on your location on Earth, compared to the Sun. The sunrise, sunset and Sun’s altitude at its peak are parameters used in calculating the exact moments of the day, as well as the start and ending of a 24h cycle.
The application requires that you provide your geographical location, in longitude and latitude, in order to determine the time. The duration of the day and hour variation are determined by the season, however, Solar Time can automatically adjust its functions in order to measure the planetary hours.
Simple to use desktop application
Solar Time displays a clock dial, which rests on your desktop as long as the application is running, in semi-transparency, so it does not bother your work. The color of the dial changes according to which planet influences a particular hour, while the main needles point to the planetary time.
The current day, date and civil time are also displayed in the dial, allowing you to compare the discrepancies. The application also features information regarding the sunrise, Sun’s transit, sunset times, ruler of the hour, Moon’s phase and lucky number. The Ruler of the Hour is a time system in which the seven planets (including the Sun and the Moon) influence, in turn the hours of the day.
Alarms and quotes
Solar Time can sound alarms each time an hour governed by the selected planets starts. Each Planetary Ruler favors a particular set of values, such as learning, health, courage. Moreover, the Planetary Periods table indicated the Ruler of each hour compared to the civil time. Additionally, the application can display inspirational quotes when you click the icon in the system tray.
