2. Connect to a Server

Step-by-step:

  1. Click “New Connection” or File > New Remote Browser
  2. Choose Protocol:
    • FTP (basic, insecure)
    • FTPS (Explicit/Implicit) (secure)
    • SFTP (via SSH) (secure)
  3. Enter:
    • Host (e.g., example.com)
    • Port (21 for FTP, 22 for SFTP)
    • Username and Password
  4. Click Connect

3. Use the Interface

SmartFTP uses a dual-pane layout:

  • Use Tools > Synchronize to sync folders:

    • Optionally delete unmatched files
