SimplyCam Description
SimplyCam is a Windows software application whose purpose is to help you create 2D toolpaths (G-code), while allowing you to import the geometric part from external files or defining it using the built-in editor.
In addition, you can convert raster photos to vector and import NC programs, simulate and convert them to geometry.
Clean feature lineup
SimplyCam delivers an intuitive and well-structured suite of features. The learning curve is smooth and easy, so you are not going to invest a lot of time into the tweaking process.
The utility keeps track of the layers used in a design and reveals them in a tree-like display. There’s support for a help manual in case rookies need further assistance with some of the tool’s settings.
Importing/exporting options
You are allowed to add data from SNC, BMP, JPG, DXF, or SVG file format, while the designs can be exported to DXF file format or saved as a project file to your system so you can upload it for future adjustments.
Editing tools
SimplyCam comes with support for several editing utilities that help you create points, endpoints, rectangles, circles, polylines, and splines. Plus, you can insert user-defined text, undo your actions, delete elements, as well as perform various editing tasks, such as trim, break, join, explode, and extend.
You can rotate, mirror or scale objects, get information about all entities included in the design, zoom in or out of the drawing, and show or hide the grid and axis.
Vectorization and NC programs
SimplyCam gives you the possibility to convert raster images (BMP and JPG file format) to vector by setting up parameters related to RGB, error, filter and corner threshold, isolate spots, and arcs filter.
The tool is able to read G0, G1, G2, and G3 commands for conventional milling and comes with support for several post-processors, such as AutoGrav, Fanuc, Fadal, Haas, Heidehain, Iso, Mach2/3, MaxNc, Selca, and Siemens.
