The easiest way to teach your children valuable skills is to make the process as fun as possible. Given that most homes have at least one computer nowadays, this has become easier than ever.
SCHULzeit 1st is a relatively simple application that allows you to configure math and vocabulary exercises suitable for primary school students. It then uses a speech engine to dictate numbers or words and records the results in separate project files.
Useful tool that can help you set up math and language exercises
SCHULzeit 1st is suitable for teaching the most basic mathematical operations, namely addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The difficulty of the exercises can be customized, and you can even determine how much time student has to answer the question.
Vocabulary exercises are similar, and a speech engine is used to dictate the whole sentence or the required word.
The tests can be paused at any time, and you can also save them to separate project files and import them at a later date.
Allows you to create your own dictionary, but a premade one is not available
When you begin a new vocabulary exercise, the application attempts to download an online dictionary that contains a large number of questions. However, the file could not be downloaded during our tests.
You can, of course, create your own questions, but this is a time-consuming task that few users are likely to undertake.
Easy-to-use application that features a somewhat outdated interface
SCHULzeit 1st is certainly not a complex program, and most users should have no problems getting accustomed to it.
However, the user interface is rather out of date and cannot be customized in any way.
All in all, SCHULzeit 1st is a simple utility designed to help young children learn basic math and vocabulary skills. It is easy to use and offers plenty of customization options, but it does not provide you with a dictionary for vocabulary exercises.
