🔧 How to Use RogueKiller (Free Version)
1. Download and Install
- Official site: https://www.adlice.com/download/roguekiller/
- Choose either installer or portable version
- Run RogueKiller.exe as Administrator
2. Perform a Scan
- Launch RogueKiller
- Click Start Scan
- Choose what to scan (Processes, Registry, Files, etc.) – defaults are usually fine
- Click Start Scan again to begin
🕒 Scans usually take a few minutes depending on system size
3. Review Scan Results
- Results are divided into categories:
- Processes
- Services
- Registry entries
- Tasks
- Files
- Web Browsers
- Red items = likely threats
- Orange/yellow = suspicious/PUPs
- Green = known good or safe
You can check or uncheck items you want to remove.
4. Remove Detected Threats
- After review, click Remove Selected
- You may be prompted to restart your computer
5. Optional Tools
- Scan Custom Path: Target specific folders or drives
- Process Killer: Terminate rogue background tasks
- Repair Tools: Reset HOSTS file, DNS settings, Proxy, etc.
