Quick and easy initial setup and login
The program’s installation is not particularly difficult, but a precise set of steps needs to be followed, to ensure correct functioning. As such, subsequent to the download process, the archive needs to be decompressed.
In the ‘bin’ folder, you will need to run the ‘startRigaByte.bat’ file, then access the address ‘localhost:9080’ in your browser, preferable not Internet Explorer, as you may experience some trouble opening it. The displayed page provides you with the default set of credentials that you can use to login.
View, manage, analyze and compare logs and other system performance indicators
The functionality of the utility is grouped into four main tabs, namely ‘Data’, ‘Search, ‘Reports’ and ‘Dashboard’. The first section allows you to view, add, edit and remove ‘Data Collections’, with the corresponding ‘Field Extractions’.
The ‘Search’ tab enables you to look up certain terms throughout the collected data and view the corresponding logs. In the ‘Reports’ section, you can view a graphical representation of the gathered data on a specific topic, such as ‘404 Get Requests’. Finally, the ‘Dashboard’ helps you display graphs for all the monitored types of info.
