QuickWayToFolders Description
QuickWayToFolders is a software tool which was developed specifically to help you go through the entire contents of your PC.
This utility does not require installation, as it is portable. As a result, no leftovers will remain after its removal, and the Windows registry and Start menu/screen will not suffer any changes.
Aside from that, you can copy the program files to a pen drive and use QuickWayToFolders on any computer you can connect to, without having to worry about the installation process.
The interface is minimal and consists of a plain panel which only displays the contents of a directory, and a few buttons, which enable you to go home (desktop), forward, back and to the containing folder (one up), as well as open Windows Explorer to that location.
It is non-obtrusive as it goes in the system tray from the first launch, and right-clicking its icon, opens a context menu which lets you show or hide the app, as well as maximize or reduce it, access the Help contents and the settings panel.
From the latter it is possible to change the text and background color, or even import an image from the hard drive, as well as apply inclusion and exclusion filters according to user-input extensions. Moreover, you can include subfolders, remember last position, automatically hide on execution, enable one-click selection, append a shortcut keyboard and modify the view type.
All in all, QuickWayToFolders is a pretty decent piece of software, with a good response time and minimal usage of CPU and memory.
