ProcessEnder Description

ProcessEnder is a simple application that can help you manage active processes, providing you with an alternative to the standard Windows Task Manager. It allows you to keep a close eye on programs or services that are currently running, shut any of them down and launch new applications.

However, it offers less features that built-in Windows utility designed for this purpose, and it is considerably more difficult to use.

Basic process monitor that offers a limited number of features

When you launch the application, it scans your system and displays all the discovered active processes in two lists, the only difference between them being the way in which the entries are sorted. The processes are ordered by name in one list and based on their PIDs in the other.

You can also refresh this list at any time, and ProcessEnder enables you to launch new processes, but the feature does not seem to be particularly useful, as this action can be performed easily from the File Explorer.

Simple, no-nonsense program that has few actual uses

ProcessEnder, as its name implies, is primarily designed to help you shut down active processes. Once you attempt to perform this action, you are asked to either specify how many letters the process’s name is made up of or how many digits the PID contains.

While it is understandable that important processes need to be protected, the confirmation procedure employed by this application is much too cumbersome.

Also, even though the program allows you to secure your processes using a password, this function does not seem to have any effect, as we had no problems shutting down the encrypted services.

Cannot replace the Windows Task Manager

When it comes down to it, there is no good reason to use this program when you already have a utility that is more powerful and a lot more intuitive, namely the Task Manager. ProcessEnder allows you to monitor and shut down processes, but it is much too difficult to use and offers a very limited number of features.
