PostgresToDB2 Description

PostgresToDB2 is an intuitive data migration program, which enables you to quickly transfer information and tables from PostgreSQL to IBM DB2 format. The software is simple to use and offers you the possibility of converting and transferring single or multiple tables at the same time, from the source database.

PostgresToDB2 facilitates three types of data export, namely from one, specified table, from the entire schema or via query. You may easily set the source for the transfer by creating an SQL query. Moreover, you need to select the exact destination table from IBM DB2, so that the transfer can easily be processed.

Whether you wish to transfer a single table or an entire batch, you need to specify their exact destination and method of migration. Thus, you may append the existing data in the IBM DB2 database, replace or update it.

You can easily configure the exact rows you wish to transfer and which can be ignored, from each table. PostgresToDB2 features a visual configuration option, which allows you to check or uncheck the fields, thus defining the source for the transfer. Moreover, in the case of single table transfer, you may even create new rows and add custom information, then instantly migrate it to the receiving database.

The software allows you to control the transfer, by defining its parameters and watching the task in progress. You may choose one of three configuration methods, namely, manually selecting the tables and rows, starting a wizard or defining a query. This way, PostgresToDB2 is accessible to both beginners as well as advanced users, with SQL knowledge.

PostgresToDB2 allows you to also schedule tasks, to be performed at a later time. All you need to do is create a scheduled task, mention the number of repetitions or if you wish it to be a single occurrence, then specify the time and date. You may also create batch (.BAT) files and save the current session.
