Portable FlashFXP Description
This is the portable version of FlashFXP, a tool that allows you to seamlessly transfer files and folders between multiple computers connected via LAN or WAN.
Since FlashFXP does not come with an installation package, you can store it on an external device (like a USB flash drive), save it to any computer and directly run its executable file.
Therefore, you can carry FlashFXP with you whenever you’re on the move. In addition, the Windows Registry does not receive new entries, and no leftover files can be found on the hard drive after program removal.
The app is wrapped in a user-friendly interface. Thanks to the dual-pane and Explorer-based layout, you can easily transfer files and folders between two computer, just as you would normally move a file from one place to another.
There are several customization features available through FlashFXP. For example, you can set the download and upload speed limit, select the transfer mode between ASCII and binary, as well as set a post-task action (e.g. disconnect website, power off computer).
Furthermore, you can establish file transfer rules, manage multiple websites and certificates, make file associations, change the interface language, and schedule transfers. But you can also compare folder content, use a text editing tool, backup and restore the configuration settings, and more.
The utility needs a low-to-moderate amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time, and includes a help file. No error dialogs have been displayed in our tests and FlashFXP did not freeze or crash. First-time users may take some while to get accustomed to this app’s features.
