Periodic Table Description

Periodic Table is a small Windows application whose purpose is to help you check out the period table of elements right from your screen.

It comes in handy especially for pupils who study chemistry and need to learn the most frequent and valuable elements, as well as view additional information about each item included in the periodic table.

Simple looks

The GUI is quite simplistic and embeds only a few configuration settings that you can play with. The tool displays the periodic table in the main panel and allows you to view extra details about each symbol by hovering the mouse cursor over the desired element.

Periodic Table gives you the possibility to gather information about the name of the current element, electronic configuration, atomic number, atomic mass, nature, group, period, as well as valence.

Performance

Since it doesn’t require much computer knowledge to set up the dedicated parameters, even less experienced users can learn to master the entire process in no time. Tests have shown that Periodic Table carries out a task quickly and without errors. It leaves a minimal footprint on system resources, so the overall performance of the computer is not affected.

Where it falls short

Periodic Table comprises only basic features, so it doesn’t give you the freedom to work with advanced parameters in order to make application show or reveal various details about each element, such as atomic number, name, melting and boiling points, atomic radius and volume, heat capacity, electrical conductivity, number of stable isotopes, oxidation states, and crystal structure.

Bottom line

All things considered, Periodic Table proves to be a simplistic program that comes bundled with limited features in order to help you discover the periodic table and find you details about each element.
