ODBC Driver for Magento Description
ODBC Driver for Magento is a specialized software solution designed to come to the aid of users who need to access Magento cloud databases from ODBC-based applications. All existing Magento data types are supported, along with standard ODBC API functions.
Additionally, the driver offers support for Advanced Connection String parameters, allowing desktop or web-based applications to connect to Magento databases from a wide range of platforms that support ODBC.
These connections can be established via HTTP directly, but users who rely on a Proxy to access the network can also provide the server’s address, along with the required port number, user ID and password.
The driver is configured by accessing the ODBC Data Source Administrator utility. You need to create a new data source, select the driver from the list and enter the required parameters, such as the domain, user ID and API key.
ODBC Driver for Magento allows you to use the extended SQL syntax to work with Magento objects, and it is even possible to perform bulk updates quickly by merging a large number of SQL statements into batches.
Moreover, the driver offers advanced data conversion capabilities, enabling bi-directional mapping between Magento and ODBC data types.
