Net Tools is a nifty utility that bundles a wide range of IP tools that are useful for network administrators and regular users alike. It’s one of the most complete collections of network utilities available on the market.
A powerful set of features included
Installing takes little time, and the interface (with a default image that resembles ‘The Matrix’) is straightforward. Expert users are going to enjoy the hundreds of features found in Net Tools, but beginners may find them a little overwhelming.
Fully configurable menu entries
All the utilities are bundled in one single menu and there are quite a few. If you find the menu too crowded or if there are features that are of no use to you, you can actually remove them from the main menu using the Configuration window.
Multiple file management options
The tools are categorized in mainly five categories – Internet Tools Menu, File Tools Menu, Misc Tools Menu, Exterior Menu (Internet, File and System), and Others.
What can you do with Net Tools? Get local IP, view a bandwidth meter, scan IP, calculate IP, access a messenger packet sniffer, and others. But Net Tools is not limited to network tools. You can also join two executable files, shred files, encrypt files, merge files, password-protect files, reveal passwords, change MAC address, CPU monitoring, tweak and clean the system, and many more.
A little room for improvement
On the downside, Net Tools comes with a few glitches. For example, the software jammed when we tried stopping the IP scanner, and crashed when we tried to stop the Online – Offline Checker. Other than that, it can come in very handy once you get accommodated.

It contains such a rich plethora of features and utilities that are assessed better by testing the application than by reading about it.
