βœ… 1. Download & Install


βœ… 2. Load Your Music Files

  • You can drag and drop files or folders into Mp3tag, or:
    • Go to File > Add Directory and select your music folder.
  • Mp3tag will display all the files and their current tags in a spreadsheet-like view.

βœ… 3. Edit Tags (Individually or in Bulk)

➀ Edit a Single File

  • Click a file to highlight it.
  • Edit tags in the left-hand pane (e.g., title, artist, album).
  • Press Ctrl + S or click the Save icon to apply changes.

➀ Batch Edit Multiple Files

  • Select multiple files (hold Shift or Ctrl).
  • Type new tag info in the left panel.
  • Click Save β€” the tags will apply to all selected files.

You can automatically rename files using tag data:

  • Go to Convert > Tag - Filename or press Alt + 1.
  • Enter a pattern, e.g.:
    %artist% - %title%
    
  • This will rename files like:

If your files are named like Artist - Title.mp3, you can extract tags from them:

  • Go to Convert > Filename - Tag or press Alt + 2.
