When you have an extensive music collection, it’s impossible not to find tracks that have various problems, varying from the sound levels to their tags. MP3 Diags is a nice tool that was designed to help you resolve any of these issues and many more.
The program has a clean interface that enables you to immediately figure out what needs to be done.
First, the app lets you select the disk partition or the directories where it should look for the MP3 files. Once it gathers all the information that it needs, the files are displayed in a list.
As mentioned, the program can be used to edit the ID3 tags. Instead of displaying a form that needs to be filled in for each track, this program lets you edit all the files at the same time by keeping the list-form. It’s possible to fill in the number of the track, the artist’s name, the song’s title and the album it comes from, the year or release and music genre. A picture can be assigned to the track, while a personal rating may be filled in as well.
Furthermore, the program can perform several other tasks, such as normalizing the track’s sound, removing broken streams, truncated audio streams and multiple ID3 streams. It’s also possible to repair or rebuild the VBR data.
All in all, MP3 Diags is a nice program that can perform a wide range of tasks. Less experienced users shouldn’t have any troubles while installing or customizing this program, thanks to its intuitive layout.
