MIST Description
MIST, also known as Modal Interferometer Simulation Tool, was developed as a powerful MATLAB toolbox.
MIST is an instrument that can be used to simulate optical systems in the paraxial approximation. The MIST toolbox uses a modal approach.
Furthermore, MIST enables users to define any optical setup (composed typically of laser sources, lenses, mirrors, electro-optical modulators, and detectors) and to compute the static laser field.
