MiniCamCap Description
MiniCamCap is an application that is able to record video clips, provided that you have a webcam installed on your computer.
The user interface is clean and surely appeals even to less experienced users. Once you have accessed the webcam and configured its settings, you can record or pause the stream, or take a snapshot. It can automatically start a video recording session at Windows bootup.
You can choose an output destination, select the position (top left corner or right corner), font color (e.g. red, orange, yellow, green) and size, and flip the picture.
It is possible to monitor the activity from your house or other location, as the application bundles a face detection feature and plays sound notifications when it detects movement. You are allowed to add your own audio files, provided that the file format is WAV. The application offers users the possibility to record with or without the audio mode enabled.
Moreover, you can make MiniCamCap take snapshots and email them, provided that you have specified an email address, server, port, username and password. It is also possible to limit the number of sent emails per day by typing in the value in the dedicated dialog.
The application also keeps a log which contains details about the entire recording process, as well as possible errors. MiniCamCap can automatically delete some files from the output destination if the disk is full.
