When you have more than one computer, the need to transfer files between the two devices can appear quite often. PCsync is a program that can help you perform various file transfers or permanently synchronize data between two computers.
The app has a simple interface that should be easy to figure out by all users, no matter their level of experience.
In order to create a new synchronization job, two folders need to be chosen. The app offers three different options regarding the direction where you want to copy the changes to. Thus, the program can track any modification in both folders and copy all the new files to either of them. Alternatively, the job can be done in a single folder.
Furthermore, the frequency of the sync jobs can be set. These can be done on a predetermined schedule, such as every day, on certain days only, every month or on a certain date. Another option is to initialize the sync jobs manually.
PCsync can further restrict the process to only certain file types. For instance, you can have the program copy only images (JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, TIF, PCT, EPS), videos (MPG, AVI, WMV, MOV, MPEG, MP4), music (MP3) or text files. Other formats can be added as well.
Transferring files can be done just as easy, through two side-by-side windows, thus speeding the entire process. The app can back up files between PCs, removable drives, as well as over a wired or wireless LAN network.
