Lake Clock Screensaver is one of the applications mentioned above that, besides protecting your screen from dead pixels and personalizing your workspace, also displays the time.
Lake screensaver
This application displays a tranquil animation of a lake along with sound effects that can turn your computer into a portal to a serene, secluded place. It also displays a large clock that overlays the animation, so that you can always know the time without having to turn the screensaver off.
After you install it, it is automatically launched and closing it can be done just like you would normally close another one: by simply moving your mouse around or pressing a key on your keyboard.
Simple configuration menu
Unlike other screensavers, this one comes with a rudimentary configuration window that lets you adjust basic parameters regarding display quality. From Windows’ native Screen Saver Options window you can define the idle time before the screensaver is launched and access the Options window described earlier.
You can choose between 6 different quality profiles, according to your preferences or computer’s capabilities. It is also possible to enable or disable looping. Unfortunately, you cannot turn off the sound effects, as there is no dedicated menu for this function.
